Creamy Fruit Parfait - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. boiling water
    1 pkg. (4 serving size) Jell-O brand orange flavored gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water and ice cubes
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange sections, drained
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice, drained
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl for 2 minutes, until completely dissolved.
    Mix cold water and ice cubes to make 1 1/4 cups.
    Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened. Remove any remaining ice.
    Stir in 1/2 of the whipped topping until smooth.
    Stir in oranges, pineapple, marshmallows and walnuts or pecans.
    Spoon into 8 dessert glasses.
    Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
    Garnish with remaining whipped topping and add additional fruit, if desired.
    Yield: 8 servings.
