Pineapple Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    3 eggs, separated
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    1 can crushed pineapple and 1 c. sugar (boiled together until it jells; cool)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients. Cut in butter as for pie dough. Beat egg yolks. Add sour cream and beat together.
    Gradually add to the flour. Work the dough and then roll about 1-inch thick. Divide the dough into 2 parts.
    Line pan. Spread cooled pineapple mixture. Cut remaining dough in strips and crisscross over pineapple. Sprinkle chopped nuts and slightly beaten whites of 2 eggs over entire top. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when ready to serve.
