Confetti Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes
    1 c. condensed mushroom soup (undiluted)
    1 soup can milk
    1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 small green pepper, cut into strips
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimientos or red peppers
    dash of pepper
    1 c. cheese cracker crumbs, divided
Preparation
    In skillet, melt butter; saute onions.
    Stir in potatoes, soup and milk.
    Add cheese, peppers and 1/2 cup crumbs.
    Pour into shallow casserole dish and top with rest of crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
