Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. onions, cut fine
    1/2 c. celery, cut fine
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked and drained
    1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 lb. bacon, fried and broken into pieces
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Spread lettuce in a large dish or container.
    Add onions and celery.
    Add peas; spread mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle sugar on mayonnaise.
    Add bacon.
    Top with cheese.
    Let sit overnight and serve.
