Corn Meal Pie(Makes 2 Pies; Old Family Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    6 Tbsp. corn meal
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 small cans milk (1 1/3 c.)
    2 small cans water (1 1/3 c.)
    1 stick butter
    4 to 6 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 (9-inch) cooked pie crusts
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients together in a saucepan.
    Add milk and water.
    Mix well.
    Add beaten egg yolks, butter and vanilla.
    Cook over low heat until thick (like banana pudding).
    Pour into cooked crusts; top with beaten egg whites.
    Cook in 350\u00b0 oven about 10 minutes or until brown.
    Best if a little cool.
