Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. sliced green tomatoes
    1 gal. chopped cabbage
    12 large onions
    6 red sweet peppers
    4 tsp. mustard seed
    4 tsp. celery seed
    4 tsp. dry mustard
    4 tsp. ground ginger
    4 tsp. cinnamon
    4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 gal. vinegar
    1/2 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook slowly for 1 hour.
    Pack in jars and seal.
