Marshmallow Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 lb. marshmallows
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil sugar and milk to thread stage.
    Cool and beat until thick.
    Set in pan of hot water and beat until thin enough to pour.
    Dissolve marshmallows in double boiler with water.
    Stir until smooth.
    Pour syrup over marshmallows; beat.
