Cowboy Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
4 medium potatoes, cubed
2 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained)
1 (15 oz.) can Ranch Style beans (undrained)
1 (12 oz.) can kernel corn (undrained)
1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup (undiluted)
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chiles
1 or 2 dried cayenne peppers
Preparation

Cut beef in 1/2-inch dice; combine with onion, salt and pepper and brown over medium heat in large Dutch oven.
Add potatoes and water to meat and cook until potatoes are tender.
Add remaining ingredients; cover and simmer for 60 to 80 minutes, stirring occasionally.
I add one or two dried cayenne peppers for interest.
