Coronado Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 lb. pasteurized processed cheese, sliced
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in skillet.
    Drain off excess fat.
    Add onion and cook until tender.
    Blend in tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and chili powder.
    Spread half of meat mixture in 1-quart casserole dish.
    Arrange half of cheese slices over meat mixture. Top with remaining meat mixture.
