Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. cocoa
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. hot water
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs, separated
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Separate eggs.
    Beat yolks well.
    Mix cocoa and sugar in saucepan.
    Add hot water, butter and eggs.
    Dissolve cornstarch in a little water.
    Mix and stir.
    Cook over medium heat until thick. Pour in cooked pastry pie shell.
    Top with meringue.
    Makes 2 (9-inch) pies.
