Cottage Enchilada - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4-oz. can whole green chiles
    12 corn tortillas
    1 c. sour cream
    12-oz. (1 1/2 cups) cottage cheese
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash pepper
    1/2 lb. sharp American cheese, cut into 12 strips
    15-oz. can enchilada sauce
Preparation
    Drain chiles, remove seeds and cut into 12 strips.
    Cook tortillas according to package directions.
    Combine sour cream, cottage cheese, salt and pepper; reserve 1/2 c. of mixture.
    Spoon remaining on 12 tortillas.
    Top each with a strip of green chile and a strip of cheese.
    Place seam side down in casserole dish. Mix 1/2 cup reserved mixture with enchilada sauce and pour over top.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
