7-Minute Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites (1/4 c.)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/3 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, in top of double boiler.
    Place over boiling water and beat with rotary beater or mixer until mixture stands in stiff peaks (takes a good 7 minutes).
    Scrape bottom and sides of pan occasionally.
    Fold in vanilla.
