English Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. other shortening
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream butter and other shortening.
    Add sugar, then eggs.
    Mix dry ingredients and add to this mixture, alternating with the milk and vanilla.
    (Just enough flour to make a soft dough may be added, if needed.)
