Meat Loaf Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. extra lean hamburger, ground chuck, ground round or a little of each
    1 c. milk
    2 to 3 slices bread, torn
    3 slices quartered American or Cheddar cheese (optional)
    1 egg (2 if small), beaten
    1 c. crushed saltine crackers (you can also use some oats or even Fritos)
    1 chopped onion
    1 chopped green pepper
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix milk with torn bread; stir until bread is soaked in milk before adding to meat loaf.
    In large bowl, mix all ingredients and form into loaf.
    If too much liquid, add more crushed crackers.
    Cover entire loaf with catsup. Add a tiny bit of water around loaf if using extra lean ground chuck.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
    Cut through center of loaf or even slice entire loaf to ensure even baking and let bake another 20 minutes.
    Ovens vary so check after 15 minutes.
