French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. beef stock
    6 onions, peeled and sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
    6 slices sour dough bread, toasted and dried out until hard (crouton)
    6 slices Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Simmer onions in beef stock until very tender.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    To serve, pour hot soup in bowl.
    Lay crouton on top.
    Add Mozzarella cheese.
    Serve immediately.
