Freezer Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 small or 1 large cabbage, grated
1 carrot, grated
1 bell pepper, grated
1 tsp. salt
1 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation

Mix grated cabbage and salt.
Let stand 1 hour.
Squeeze off liquid into saucepan.
Add carrots and bell pepper to liquid.
Mix in vinegar, water, celery seed and sugar.
Boil 1 minute while stirring.
Remove from heat.
Add mustard seed and turmeric.
Cool to room temperature.
Pour over cabbage.
Stir until well mixed. Freeze into meal size containers.
After 24 hours of freezing, thaw in refrigerator.
Serve.
