Marshmallow Treats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 (6 to 10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows or 4 c. mini marshmallows
    5 c. Rice Krispies cereal
Preparation
    Measure margarine into 3-quart saucepan.
    Melt over low heat. Add marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is very syrupy.
    Remove from heat.
    Add cereal; stir until well coated.
    Spread warm mixture in buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Using waxed paper or buttered spatula, press firmly into an even layer.
    Cut into squares when cool.
    Yields 24 (2-inch) squares.
