Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/4 c. white corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 egg whites
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat the sugar, water, corn syrup and salt, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved.
    Continue to cook without stirring until the syrup forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
    Beat egg whites until they peak.
    Pour the syrup slowly into the egg whites.
    Continue to beat until the candy is stiff enough to hold its shape.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Drop by teaspoon on wax paper or pour into greased pans, cutting into squares.
