7-Minute Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix together egg whites, corn syrup, sugar and salt in double boiler top.
    Beat slightly with mixer; place over rapidly boiling water and beat constantly until frosting holds stiff peaks, about 7 minutes.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla and beat 1 minute.
    Add a couple drops of food coloring (red).
    Delicious on angel food cake.
