Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew beef
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 c. beef broth
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. parsley
    1 onion
    8 potatoes
    4 carrots
    2 stalks celery
Preparation
    Brown beef in pan with a little Crisco.
    Add tomatoes (chop them up a little), broth, marjoram, salt and pepper.
    Cover and cook until meat is almost tender.
    Add onion, potatoes, carrots, celery and parsley.
    Let simmer.
    (I usually let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours.)
    Stir occasionally.
