Black-Eyed Pea Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. corn oil
1 onion, chopped
2 jalapenos, chopped
3/4 c. cut corn, drained
1 lb. brown sausage or hamburger meat or ham
1 c. black-eyed peas
1/2 lb. grated cheese
Preparation

Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, soda, eggs, buttermilk and oil. Add onion, jalapenos, corn and browned meat. Then add black-eyed peas and cheese. Pour into well-greased pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Can be served hot or cold.
