Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium cabbage, sliced
    2 large onions, thinly sliced
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. salad oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    In a large bowl, place cabbage, alternating with onions.
    Top with 3/4 cup sugar.
    Do not stir.
    Heat vinegar, oil, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt and celery seed.
    Let boil.
    Pour over cabbage and onions.
    Refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.
    Drain before serving.
