Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 thinly sliced McIntosh apples
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. all-purpose flour (do not sift)
    2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    4 eggs
    1 c. vegetable oil
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Combine and allow to stand while mixing batter.
    Combine all ingredients.
    Mix batter until quite smooth.
    Pour half batter into greased and floured tube or spring-form pan.
    Pour 3/4 of apple mixture on top of first layer of batter.
    Pour remaining batter over the apples.
    Put remaining apple mixture over second layer of batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
