Nutty Crescents - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Cream butter, shortening and sugar together.
Mix in water and vanilla, then flour and nuts.
Chill for 3 1/2 hours.
Form dough in long rolls, 1/2-inch across.
Cut in 3-inch lengths and shape in crescents.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 325\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
(Do not brown cookies.)
Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Roll in confectioners sugar.
Makes about 4 dozen.
