Taco Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 pkg. taco mix
    1/2 c. water
    3 tomatoes, diced (may use canned)
    1 onion, diced
    1 lb. Velveeta cheese, sliced
    8 oz. noodles
    1 1/2 c. crushed Doritos (nacho cheese flavored)
    taco sauce, salsa or green chilies as desired
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion in skillet.
    Add tomatoes, water and taco seasoning.
    Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Cook noodles until tender and drain.
    In greased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish, layer beef mixture, noodles, cheese, nacho chips and salsa 3 times.
    Sprinkle nacho chips on top.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
