Seafoam Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. dark Karo
1/4 c. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

In 2 quart saucepan combine sugar, syrup and water.
Cook; stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and starts boiling. Cook on medium heat, without stirring, to 260\u00b0 (hard ball). Remove from heat.
In large bowl beat egg whites to stiff peak. Gradually pour hot syrup over egg whites; beating constantly on high 6 minutes.
Add vanilla; keep beating for 10 more minutes until soft peaks form and starts losing gloss.
Add nuts; mix. Let stand 2 minutes.
Drop by teaspoon onto buttered baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 300\u00b0.
