Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    sweetened crushed strawberries
    butter
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Into this mixture, work shortening, then dissolve soda in sour milk or buttermilk.
    Spread dough on any small cookie sheet, cake pan or biscuit tin.
    Bake.
    Cut the shortcake in half for 2 layers. Butter them and spread strawberries between layers and over top. Bake for 20 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Serves 4.
