Italian Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. sirloin or rump roast, sliced thin and tied
    1 clove garlic
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sweet basil
    1 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. bay leaves
Preparation
    Mix 4 cups of water and all seasonings in a roaster pan. Place roast in pan and bake in oven at 325\u00b0 for 3 to 4 hours. Baste roast occasionally; cut string the last 1/2 hour of cooking and baste well with juices.
    Put roast and juices in a crock-pot and cook until the meat falls apart in strings.
    Serve on French, Italian bread or hot rolls.
