Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green peppers
    1 lb. lean ground beef, cooked and rinsed in hot water
    1 c. dry herb seasoned stuffing
    1/4 c. chopped onions
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper.
    Remove all seeds and membranes.
    Wash pepper thoroughly, inside and out.
    Heat 1 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon salt to boiling.
    Add peppers; cook 5 minutes and drain.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/3 of the meat mixture.
    Stand peppers upright in ungreased baking dish, 8 x 8 x 2-inches.
    Cover and bake 45 minutes.
    Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
    Yields 4.
