Shannon'S 24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 pkg. frozen peas (do not thaw or cook)
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
Preparation
    In a large covered salad bowl, layer all ingredients in their listed order.
    Cover lightly. Refrigerate 24 hours.
    Will keep several days.
