Harvard Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1 (16 oz.) can sliced beets, drained
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add flour and blend.
    Add water.
    Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Add remaining ingredients.
