Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. rice (not instant), cooked as directed on pkg.
    2 c. milk
    3 eggs
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Cook rice until tender and set aside.
    Mix flour or cornstarch with sugar and salt.
    Separate eggs and set whites aside.
    Beat yolks with fork and mix with milk.
    Stir in sugar mixture and cook over medium heat until boiling.
    Boil while stirring for 1 minute. Stir in butter and vanilla.
    Stir in rice and raisins.
    Use the egg whites to make meringue.
