Blueberry Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pt. blueberries
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream together shortening, sugar and salt.
    Add baking powder and eggs and mix well.
    Add flour, milk and vanilla and mix well again.
    Fold in blueberries.
    Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 12 cup muffin pan.
    Fill muffin cups to the top of the pan, then sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 5 minutes, then drop temperature to 375\u00b0 and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
    Makes 1 loaf.
