Judy'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. shortening

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients together.
Put into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Frost with any frosting you wish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Can also add nuts or raisins.
