Fried Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. fine ground corn meal
1 c. plain flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. sugar
salt to taste
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients in bowl.
Add beaten egg and mix thoroughly.
Gradually add water to make a thin batter.
Heat cooking oil in skillet.
Spoon batter in hot oil to make small cakes.
Fry until golden brown.
