Apples Stuffed With Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large tart apples
    2 Tbsp. rum or bourbon
    1/2 lemon, sliced very thin
    3/4 c. sugar
    nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Wash and core apples.
    Place in baking dish.
    Put 1 tablespoon sugar in each.
    Fill centers with mincemeat to which rum or bourbon has been added.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg; add remaining sugar and water.
    Add lemon and bake 1 hour at 400\u00b0 until tender.
    Serve as a side dish or top with sweetened bourbon-flavored whipped cream and use as dessert.
