Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats (uncooked)
1/2 c. butter or oleo
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oats.
Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add sugars. Beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Add oats and mix well. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-inch square pan. Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes or until done.
