French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. sliced onions
    1/4 c. butter
    3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans beef broth
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    6 to 8 slices French bread, toasted
    Swiss cheese slices
Preparation
    Cook onions, covered, in butter about 20 minutes.
    Add broth, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
    Bring to a boil.
    Put soup in ovenproof bowls.
    Put on bread and cheese.
    Broil until melted and light brown.
    Serves 6 to 8.
