Porcupine Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. instant rice (uncooked)
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 tsp. grated onion
    2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. tomato juice
    1/2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine first five ingredients with half of the juice.
    Mix lightly and make 1 1/2 inch (about 18) balls.
    Place balls in skillet.
    Combine remaining juice and sugar; pour over balls. Bring all to boil, reduce and simmer, covered, 15 minutes, basting occasionally.
