Shoney'S Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    2 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
    2 c. whole fresh strawberries
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water and cornstarch on low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
    Add Jell-O; cook until clear.
    Arrange strawberries in baked 9-inch pie shell.
    Pour mixture over berries.
    Cool completely; top with Cool Whip.
