Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
1 c. chopped pecans
1 can cherry pie filling
1 large container Cool Whip
1 large box vanilla pudding mix
Preparation

Bake yellow cake following directions on box in a sheet pan. Allow cake to cool, then cut in half. Crumble one of the cake halves in bottom of punch bowl.
Mix together pineapple, pecans and cherry pie filling.
Layer half of the mixture on cake crumbs. Prepare pudding according to directions on box.
Pour half over fruit mixture. Crumble other half of cake on top of cake and sprinkle with nuts or coconut, if desired.
