Cuke Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers, sliced lengthwise
    2 gal. water
    2 c. lime
    2 qt. white vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 box cloves
    1 c. raisins
    1 box cinnamon sticks
    5 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in lime water for 24 hours, then soak in clear water for 3 hours.
    Mix vinegar and sugar; tie spices and salt in cheesecloth and put in vinegar and sugar mixture.
    Bring to a boil.
    Put cucumbers in mixture and let soak overnight.
    Boil 30 minutes.
    Add raisins and boil 5 more minutes.
    Pack in jars and seal.
    Chill before serving.
