Colonial Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. molasses
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Grease and flour
a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
In large bowl, measure all
ingredients
and
mix at low speed until blended. Pour batter
into
pan
and bake 1 hour.
Cool.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
