Broccoli Flower Bouquet - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head cauliflower
1 bunch broccoli
2 cloves garlic, peeled
1 lemon
3 Tbsp. salt
1 bay leaf
1 pt. cherry tomatoes, stemmed and washed
Preparation

Wash cauliflower and broccoli and break into similar sized flowerets.
Cut the rind from lemon with vegetable peeler, try not to get any white on peel.
Add lemon peel, garlic, salt and bay leaf to a large pot of boiling water.
Boil 5 minutes to flavor water.
Add vegetable flowerets; boil 3 to 4 minutes, until broccoli is bright green and vegetables are crisp-tender.
Do not overcook.
Drain in colander and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
Shake well.
Discard seasonings.
(May be done in advance to this point.)
Refrigerate vegetables in plastic bag.
