Gold Oven Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. vanilla flavor
Preparation

Mix butter and Crisco.
Add sugar, one cup at a time.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift in flour.
Add milk; alternate with flour.
Put in flavor.
Pour into tube pan.
Place in cold oven; turn to 350\u00b0.
Do not open oven until after 1 hour and 15 minutes.
