Turkey Wild Rice Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. uncooked wild rice
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 qt. water
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 celery stalk, finely chopped
    1 carrot, finely chopped
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. flour
    3 c. chicken broth
    2 c. light cream
    1/2 tsp. rosemary
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. diced cooked turkey
Preparation
    Rinse rice and drain.
    In medium saucepan, combine rice, oil and water; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Meanwhile, in a large kettle, cook onion, celery and carrot in butter until vegetables are almost tender.
    Blend in flour; cook and stir 2 minutes.
    Add broth and undrained rice. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until slightly thickened.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
