Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cut peanut butter (chunky)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla thoroughly. Sift together dry ingredients. Blend into creamed mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Criss cross with fork tines. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from sheet. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
