Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes with juice
    1 (14 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    1 to 2 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef in large, heavy kettle; drain and add onions.
    Cook until onions are tender.
    Add remaining ingredients except cheese; simmer for 15 minutes (minimum).
    Ladle into bowls; top with the grated cheese and tortilla chips.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
