15 Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) pkg. Hambeen's 15 Beans
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    2 ham hocks
    1 lemon (juice only)
    1 potato, diced
    1 carrot, sliced
    1/2 large onion, diced
    salt, pepper, garlic and chili powder to taste
Preparation
    Put washed beans in pan; add 2 tablespoons salt.
    Cover with water and soak overnight.
    Drain; add 2 quarts water and ham hocks.
    Boil, then simmer, for 2 hours.
    Add potato and carrot; simmer 1/2 hour.
    Add lemon juice, tomatoes and onion; simmer 1/2 hour more.
    Season to taste.
