Ginger-Beef Stir-Fry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods
    1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak or top round steak
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. grated ginger root or 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    3 medium carrots, thinly bias sliced
    1 c. broccoli flowerets
    1 medium onion, cut into thin wedges
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts or bamboo shoots, drained
Preparation
    Thaw pea pods.
    Partially freeze beef.
    Thinly slice across the grain into bite-size strips.
    For sauce, combine sherry, soy sauce, cornstarch, ground ginger (if using) and 1/3 cup water. Set aside.
